After a quick bagel and coffee, Kenny drove me 15 minutes to the detour trailhead to return me to the PCT. I went to take a selfie with Kenny and discovered I had left my phone on the table. 9:28/22. Fires have stopped all PCT progress
So what do you do? Adapt. Learn. Adjust. Train. So I will Next week might be a hard stretch of the lost coast trail. 5 days. Beach camps. Not so much trails. Lol. Should be fun.

Sadly, the Kaldor fire closed highway 50 and stopped us cold at Kennedy Meadows north. for the day we fought brutal winds all day, with gusts close to 60 MPH that literally would move you. Nice easy day as I tried to heal some unusual blisters and rashes.

Last real rocky and granite day of hiking with 2 good uphills, one long and gradual of about 1000 feet and then a semi fast 700 feet at the end of the day ending at beautiful Dorothy Lake Just love these signs.
