Thursday June 30 Burney Falls to mile 1434 near Peavine Creek.

Early start on Thursday. JT feels better and we are ready to rock.

Love the bridges. Hate the non bridge water fords

A nice shy deer

Shasta keeps getting closer.

Lovely views

More bridges and water.

Really nice trails these sections. Nice paths and gradual inclines when we do go up.

Love this hike

JT overcoming one of many many tree falls. They really upset your momentum.

Some overgrown sections do appear at times.

A couple more Shasta shots

It’s so cool having such great Shasta views throughout this hike.

Was a really good day. JT did great and I feel really good. Turns out I got off the wait list for another PCT hike on July 7 so I really need to finish as planned on Monday the 4th so I can prepare. I rechecked the route and the last 2 days have a lot of climbs so hopefully we can save a few miles over the next few days.
