6/28/23 Hyatt camp mile 1743 to dry camp mile 1763

We all felt great so we started rarely early ( after 6) and took off

The trail is sweet. No rock climbs. No sideways hills. Just enjoy.

Mignt be going that way.

Another aqua duct. Caleb said it was to green to drink from. I went for it. Still alive.

It’s a sign.

So many of these just off the trail water sources. Sometimes you scramble 100 yards, sometimes you hike a mile. But if the water is there, it’s worth it.

We were about 13 miles in before we took 4th breakfast, and relaxed. We all felt great and pressed on. Since we were going to the car the next day, the horse was starting to smell the barn.

Ok

A very cool (but rat infested) shelter where we camped. We got 20 miles on today, which means we only have 10 miles to the car and real food in Medford. I also need to replace broken trekking poles.

My camp spot at the shelter. Tired, but feel ok. My training is paying off.
