Nice easy day was appreciated after killing ourselves the day before. A very civilized start to the hike at 8:00. After some logistical issues, Mike (Chief) Caleb (Jed Smith) and Sue (a #1 shuttle driver) dropped us off at Vincent Gap at 9:30 and the hike began. Heading down to Aqua Dulce to shuttle cars down to Vincent Gap and another 80 miles over 6 days. Big elevation gain 1st day then we kinda cruise down to the desert. Should be fun!

Thanks to a wonderful trail angel, Mary Munoz, I was driven to the water cache in the am and started hiking fresh.
