4/12/23 power lines at 468 to Lake Hughes at mile 486.

Lovely morning, not to cold last night. Started at 7:30

Waterfall #1

Waterfall 2

Nice day so far

Fantastic views. Eventually I get to the Mohave desert.

Waterfall 3. Maintained by a Boy Scout troop.

Oops. This is the Boy Scout waterfall .

And the video.

Eventually will get that direction.

Danele got to the Green Valley fire station at mile 478 ten miles in by 11:30. I made it by 1. Danele wants push ahead 8 miles to a nice wind protected spot (very windy today). Water only here. No bathroom or garbage.

Ignore the duplicate video

Near water spot. Not many photos for the next cold and misty hiking . Really windy again.

Some of the visible cold mist

Made it to Lake Hughes road after 18 miles. Really tired at the end. Big water to cloudy to be ideal but later we found a great spot. Pretty cold this night, but tolerable. 3 semi easy days ahead mile wise 13, 10 and 10 miles. Water should be easy to get which is always nice . I’m pretty beat. No appetite so not eating enough.

Have started to get some hiker rash which I’ve not really had before. Could be a problem as I did not bring anything to treat it with.

Pretty nice sandy camp spot. All is good! tomorrow 13 miles to Sawmill camp. Need to eat more
